About Open Sky
Healing doesn’t always happen in an office. Sometimes, it begins under the open sky.
Open Sky Wellness grew out of years of deep listening — the kind that makes people feel seen, safe, and supported in their hardest seasons. It exists as a doorway for those who feel overlooked in traditional therapy, weighed down by life’s patterns, or searching for something gentler, more embodied, and more connected to everyday life.
Through countless conversations, mentorships, and coaching sessions, I came to see a powerful truth: traditional therapy, while incredibly valuable, doesn’t always reach every heart. Some people heal best in motion. Some in nature. And some simply need the steady presence of someone who says, “You’re not alone. I’ll walk with you.”
At OpenSky, healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken.” It’s about companionship — step by step, breath by breath — uncovering clarity, hope, and resilience along the way. My philosophy is simple: growth happens through movement, presence, and faith, woven together to create space for renewal and lasting change.
A Different Kind of Healing
Healing Happens in Motion and in Relationship
Many people spend years in therapy yet still feel stuck — repeating the same stories, weighed down by exhaustion or depression, and unsure how to move forward. What they often need isn’t just more talking, but a new way of experiencing healing: moving their body, breathing deeply, and reconnecting with who they are beyond the fog.
At OpenSky, healing is not one-size-fits-all. Some people need gentle movement and fresh air to shake off heaviness. Others need a safe hand to hold as they face life’s challenges. And some need practical guidance — making lists, breaking tasks into steps, and having someone check in as they follow through. Whatever the need, the focus is the same: to help you regain clarity, take action, and feel supported every step of the way.
This approach is both compassionate and practical. It looks like:
Breathing space to process emotions without pressure.
Movement that reduces stress and unlocks clarity.
Gentle accountability — making to-do lists, tracking progress, and celebrating wins.
Consistent presence that helps you feel less alone in life’s hardest seasons.
This isn’t therapy that keeps you circling the same stories. It’s coaching that adapts to you — meeting you where you are, walking beside you, and helping you move forward with steady support.
About Me
My Professional Path
Grounded in struggle, led by service
A Soul Who Walks Beside You
Over the years, I’ve walked beside people in many roles — as a Case Manager guiding individuals through divorce, grief, and rebuilding stability; as a Mentor supporting teens facing anxiety, depression, and identity struggles; as a Teacher helping neurodiverse students build focus, mindfulness, and confidence; and as a companion to seniors navigating illness, routines, and resilience. In every setting, my goal has been the same: to meet people where they are and help them take steady steps toward where they long to be.
These experiences taught me that healing is rarely linear. Some thrive in traditional therapy, but others need a different doorway — something more embodied, relational, and connected to everyday life. That realization gave life to OpenSky Coaching: a faith-rooted, movement-based approach for those who feel stuck in classical office settings and long for something more holistic and grounded.
In my sessions, I weave together reflective dialogue, grounding practices, nature-based movement, and values-centered tools. My aim is not to “fix” people but to walk beside them — literally and emotionally — offering space to exhale, clarity to move forward, and steady companionship along the path of resilience.
I specialize in supporting:
🌸 Women in transition
🌸 Single mothers
🌸 Teens navigating depression, anxiety, or emotional blocks
🌸 Grieving individuals
🌸 Anyone longing to reconnect with purpose and wholeness
My work draws from both lived experience and professional training, guided by one core belief: None of us are broken — we are becoming.
OpenSky Coaching is where movement, mindfulness, and meaning intersect. It’s a space to pause, breathe, be heard, and begin again with compassion, dignity, and support beside you.
With a Bachelor’s in Human Services, certification in Life Coaching, and ongoing graduate studies in Marriage & Family Therapy at the Western Institute for Social Research (WISR), my academic path reflects my values of justice, faith integration, community resilience, and transformative care. While I’ve always loved learning — from history to psychology — it’s been my lived experience that truly led me into the fields of healing, coaching, and therapy.
Over the years, I’ve served as a case manager, mentor, group leader, school counselor, student success coach, and teacher supporting students navigating anxiety, trauma, and academic challenges. These roles have deepened my commitment to helping others find strength and clarity in difficult times.
Today, I’m developing initiatives that bring together Islamic spirituality, psychology, and wellness, including Roots & Resilience, a mentorship and healing program for Muslim undergraduates; Islamically-integrated IFS (Internal Family Systems) coaching and workshops; and Walk-and-Talk Therapy Coaching through OpenSky, where movement and reflection come together.
Alongside my practice, I am completing certification as a Community Health Worker and Peer Support Specialist, supporting veterans and trauma survivors. I am also pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Western Institute for Social Research, where my action-research focuses on holistic, integrative family systems rooted in cultural and spiritual wisdom.
I serve women in transition, single mothers, grieving individuals, teens facing emotional blocks, and anyone seeking a deeper connection to their purpose. Above all, I am passionate about guiding those who feel stuck but are ready to take the next step toward healing, clarity, and alignment.
